Twenty Questions Book Tag

Hey hey!! I’m back with a book tag! I’m so proud of myself for getting to this less than two weeks after being tagged. Yay me!! I’ve gotten so efficient😄

I’m was tagged by Rebecca from My Life As a Sports Fangirl and her blog is so beautiful!! I’m totally jealous. This tag was created by a Goodreads’ user buydebook

1. HOW MANY BOOKS IS TOO MANY BOOKS IN A SERIES?

NINE!!

By the eighth book in a series, I already begin having misgivings about the series. I never go to the ninth because I feel whatever any writer wants to write should be able to fill eight 400-page books.

2. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT CLIFFHANGERS?

If the cliffhanger is at the end of a chapter, I don’t really care but if it’s at the end of a book and I have to wait for the next one…..it makes me so mad!!!

3. HARDCOPY OR PAPERBACK?

Hardcopies are nice for pictures but I prefer paperbacks.  They’re cheaper and less heavy and I hate carrying heavy stuff.

4. FAVOURITE BOOK?

A single one? That’s nearly impossible. I’m going to put pictures of a few (just a few I promise😏) To make things easier, I’m putting single books not series.

5. LEAST FAVOURITE BOOK?

So many. So so many. Some are Artemis by Andy Weir which I feel was very racist (here’s my review), Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell (review HERE), Poison’s Kiss by Breena Shields, Give up the Ghost by Megan Crewe (review here)

6. LOVE TRIANGLES, YES OR NO?

NOOOOOOOO!!!

I really hate them. They’re so annoying and they spoil perfectly good books.

7. THE MOST RECENT BOOK YOU JUST COULDN’T FINISH?

Spinner by Michael J. Bowler

I was given this book as an e-ARC and it should be amazing but it’s so hard to get through.

8. A BOOK YOU’RE CURRENTLY READING?

When Dimple met Rishi by Sandhya Menon

I’m just starting this after months and for now, I like what I’m reading. It seems like it would be a strongly feminist book.

9. LAST BOOK YOU RECOMMENDED TO SOMEONE?

Well…I recommended Deadly Sweet on my blog here yesterday and I think you guys should definitely read it.

10. OLDEST BOOK YOU’VE READ?

My Enid Blyton books. Some are as old as early 20th century.

11. NEWEST BOOK YOU’VE READ?

Deadly Sweet by Lola Dodge is a book that was released at the middle of this month. I got it as an e-ARC and I really liked it. You can read my review HERE!

12. FAVOURITE AUTHOR?

JK Rowling

I know there have been some problems lately with the Johnny Depp thing but I think nothing can remove the fact that she’s an amazing author who wrote one of the best works of fiction this world has ever seen.

13. BUYING BOOKS OR BORROWING BOOKS?

Buying!! I hate borrowing because it gives me a time limit to read the books (I can’t keep another person’s book for a month). Also, if I like the book, I can’t keep it and smile at it when I want😊

14. A BOOK YOU DISLIKE THAT EVERYONE SEEMS TO LIKE?

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater.

I have a lot of problems with this book. The well-loved character, Rowan is one I dislike (not that I like the others but I dislike him the most), the writing is overly mysterious and there are so many plot holes for a reader to sink in.

15. BOOKMARKS OR DOGEARS?

I’m going to be very honest here. Please don’t kill me

I should use bookmarks but I’m always too lazy to get them and I usually end up folding the top of my page. I know it’s  horrible thing to do and I’m trying to stop😣😣

16. A BOOK YOU CAN ALWAYS REREAD?

I’m going to use a series here just because I can. Ha! Anyway, the answer is the Harry Potter series. About a month ago infact, I read all seven books again.

17. CAN YOU READ WHILE HEARING MUSIC?

No, I can’t. I can read with outside background noise but not music. I don’t even like music as a rule. So, I really hate when it disturbs my reading.

18. ONE POV OR MULTIPLE POVS?

Both are okay as long as the “multiple” isn’t more than four. It would be very hard and nearly impossible for me to keep five different character POVs straight.

19. DO YOU READ A BOOK IN ONE SITTING OR OVER MULTIPLE DAYS?

This depends on the book. I’ve been known to walk on the sidewalk with my phone in my face while reading a book. I’m actually really good at coordinating my footsteps while doing that.

20. ONE BOOK YOU READ BECAUSE OF THE COVER

I know the cover isn’t so amazing but I really like the simplicity of it and the cursive writing is really beautiful.

  1. My heart breaks on your thoughts about The Raven Cycle and Rowan Lynch is my favorite character. But that’s okay. Haha. I can bleed a little.
